A producer I know is embarking on a bold experiment – cutting production costs to a price tag that is perceived as ridiculously low. I’m potentially shooting second or third camera for the event, and am very interested to see how his costs cutting gamble succeeds. Normal budget for this type of shoot: $20,000-30,000. His goal: $7,000-10,000. I’d like to post more detailed info later, especially if I can get a hold of his budget for a similar shoot and compare how he saved money…but first, maybe I should wait to see if it works…
